The Councilor for Beaches and Natural Environment, <strong>Marif\u00e9 Larragay<\/strong>, is &#8220;very proud&#8221; to receive this distinction again, which &#8220;rewards these well-managed spaces in aspects such as environmental information and education, water quality, environmental management and safety and services&#8221;.<\/p>\n<h4>This year&#8217;s news<\/h4>\n<p>This year, new access railings have been installed on the beach for which people with reduced mobility have priority. The cleaning of the water with a boat has also been launched, as well as the installation of 10 ecological anchors in The Beach of Sant Pol to protect the Cymodocea, among other actions.<\/p>\n<p>New snorkeling itineraries have been created to discover the species of our coast and the installation of 3 new buoys for dives. In addition, people who wish to smoke on both beaches, which have a smoking sector and another for non-smokers, can find a reusable ashtray.<\/p>\n<h4>Blue flag beaches<\/h4>\n<p>At the Catalan level, this 2022 has received the distinction 94 beaches, 26 belong to the demarcation of Girona.
