The Club N\u00e0utic Sant Feliu de<\/a> Gu\u00edxols hosted this weekend the first round of the
\n IX Gu\u00edxols Cup<\/strong>
\n<\/a> with seventy sailors, 25 in ILCA 4 and 45 in ILCA 6. The role of the sailors of the Sant Feliu Yacht Club stands out, as they have made several podiums.<\/p>\n

In ILCA 4 the gold went to Miguel Garc\u00eda<\/strong> of the Club N\u00e1utico Cambrils, the silver to Toni Autonell<\/strong> of the Club N\u00e1utico El Masnou and the bronze to Joan Fargas<\/strong> of the CN Cambrils. In the women’s category, local sailor Mireia Garriga<\/strong> took first place, while fellow crochet Sof\u00eda Constans<\/strong> finished third.<\/p>\n

In the ILCA 6 modality, Ot Puig<\/strong> of the Club N\u00e1utico Vilanova has been proclaimed winner. She was followed on the podium by Laura Pedraza<\/strong> from CN Arenys de Mar and Bosco Ma\u00f1as<\/strong> from Club N\u00e0utic El Masnou. The sailor of the CN Sant Feliu de Gu\u00edxols Ricard Garriga<\/strong> has been fourth in the general classification and third male.<\/p>\n

The competition<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The regatta ended with a total of 4 races per group, two on Saturday and two on Sunday. Although the days were lifted without wind, a soft sheaf that rose from noon allowed the competition to be played.<\/p>\n

The awards ceremony was held this Sunday with the presence of the councilor for sports of the City Council of Sant Feliu de Gu\u00edxols, Mireia Borrego, and the Catalan secretary of the ILCA class, Javier Sam\u00f3n. Representing the board of the Sant Feliu de Gu\u00edxols Yacht Club were Josep Medi\u00f1\u00e0 and Joaquim Rutllant.<\/p>\n

The IX Gu\u00edxols Cup will continue on February 3 and 4 with the classes of Europe and 420.<\/p>\n

The race<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Gu\u00edxols Cup, which bears the name of the city of Sant Feliu de Gu\u00edxols, was born in 2016 at the Club N\u00e0utic Sant Feliu de Gu\u00edxols with the support of the Catalan Sailing Federation and the City Council of Sant Feliu de Gu\u00edxols with the aim of organizing a regatta that would pay tribute to the passion for the sport of sailing that exists in the municipality. Make the town known to sailors and families and generate a positive economic impact.<\/p>\n

The Gu\u00edxols Cup 2024 is sponsored by Escola N\u00e0utica Medi\u00f1\u00e0, Fast Mast, Imnasa and Helena Jornet Finques and has the support of the Catalan Sailing Federation, the Diputaci\u00f3 de Girona and the City Council of Sant Feliu de Gu\u00edxols.
