Rowing courses, competitions and activities.

The Sant Feliu de Guíxols Yacht Club incorporates a new rowing activity in 2024 with the vision of becoming a benchmark for rowing in Catalonia, due to the functionality and attractiveness of our facilities and, especially, for the professionalism and close and individualized treatment that our staff offers to all members and users.

The type of boat we use are Mediterranean llaüt and batel which are fixed bench boats. The rowing technique is performed with the extension of the legs and body at the same time and flexion of the arms afterwards.

Competition

In the different competition teams we squeeze every shovel to get as far as possible. We participate in all the most important milestones of the national rowing calendar and select other interesting regattas for participation.

*Depending on participation, the competition is also promoted in the lower categories.

At our school we want to transmit the values inherent to the practice of sport to children and teach them to row.

The objective of the sports team (made up of those people who cannot or do not want to commit to the level of competition teams), is to have the best possible technique and maintain a level of quality of outdoor sports practice.

Sporty

The sports bike is ideal for all those people who want to get started in the world of rowing, or who have already rowed before, but do not want to compete. Throughout the week they make different outings in Llagut Català to enjoy the sea and sail along our coast. Of course, not going to official regattas of the Catalan Rowing Federation does not mean that they do not participate in popular events or regattas of social interest together with other clubs in Catalonia.

This section encompasses people of all ages and conditions who want to work as a team, go out to sea and play sports. Their desire to learn is an example for the competition categories, which often go hand in hand, since young rowers accompany them in their training to helm and cooperate with each other, some put themselves in the shoes of the helmsmen of their team and the others have a person who helps them and corrects their technique in the water.
