The Club Nàutic Sant Feliu de Guíxols hosted this weekend the VII Guíxols Cup in ILCA mode. Eighty sailors participated, making for an all-time record participation. 38 sailors have competed in ILCA 4, 32 in ILCA 6 and 9 in ILCA 7.

In ILCA 4, Tatu Uusitalo of the Garraf Yacht Club in Masculine and the local Aroa Pallí of the Club Nàutic Sant Feliu de Guíxols in feminine.

In ILCA 6, the men’s gold has been for Giulio Zunino of the Club Nàutic Garraf, the feminine by Elba Martínez of the Club Nàutic Salou and the Masters by David González of the Real Club Náutico of Barcelona. In this category, the silver of the crochet sailor Ricard Garriga stands out.

Finally, in ILCA 7, the first place has been by Jose Luis Doreste of the Port d’Aro Yacht Club.

In total, 3 tests of all classes have been disputed, two on Saturday and one on Sunday.

The awards ceremony was held on Sunday afternoon and was given by Jordi Parés, member of the board of directors of the Catalan Sailing Federation, David Oliveras, sports councilor of Sant Feliu de Guíxols and Antoni Sabaté, comodor of the Sant Feliu Yacht Club.

The VII Guíxols Cup began on January 15 and 16 with the Classes Europa and 420 and will end on the weekend of February 26 and 27 with the Optimists.
