The Sant Feliu de Guíxols Yacht Club will host the ILCA Master Class Spanish Championship between 15 and 18 September, which will have around fifty participants from 35 years old divided into five categories of ILCA 6 and ILCA 7 classes. Among those registered, the Olympians Jose Luis Doreste, Jose Maria Van der Ploeg and Mònica Azón stand out.
The event will have the support of the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation, the Catalan Sailing Federation and the Spanish Association of the ILCA class.
The competition
The competition will begin on September 15 with the control of equipment, registration and meeting of trustees. On the 16th the first test will be held and on Sunday the 18th the last one will be held together with the closing and the delivery of trophies. A total of nine races are planned, of which at least two will have to be played for the championship to be valid.
A club committed to sailing
The Sant Feliu Yacht Club values very positively being able to host a national sporting event of these characteristics, which will allow to continue with the task of club to highlight the potential of Sant Feliu de Guíxols to practice the sport of sailing.
